Create ClickUp tasks from your incidents

Spike connects to ClickUp so any incident can become a tracked ClickUp task — created by hand in one click or automatically with Playbooks — so the follow-up work never falls through the cracks.

What you can do

Everything the ClickUp integration does

Create a task from any incident

From an incident’s quick actions, hit Create ticket and pick ClickUp, then fill in the title, description, list, status, priority, assignees and tags.

Choose exactly where it lands

Select the ClickUp list, set an initial status and priority, add assignees and tags — the task is created just how your team expects it.

Automate it with Playbooks

Add a create-ticket step to a Playbook and matching incidents open a ClickUp task on their own, with no clicks required.

Status and metadata forwarded

When the task is created, Spike sends the incident’s status and details across to ClickUp. The integration is one-directional — changes in ClickUp don’t sync back.

Incident context travels with it

The task carries the title and description you set, and the incident’s details are appended automatically so the assignee has what they need.

Why send incidents to ClickUp?

When an incident calms down, the follow-up work needs a home in ClickUp — the fix, the retro, the planning. Spike’s ClickUp integration turns any incident into a ClickUp task in one click, choosing the list, status, priority and assignees, or has a Playbook open one automatically.

Spike sends incident details outbound to ClickUp; the integration is one-directional, so changes you make to a task in ClickUp don’t sync back to Spike. When a task is created, the title, description and full incident details travel with it, and it sits alongside your other trackers — ClickUp and Jira can both be connected, so anyone on the team can pick where a ticket lands.

Set up the ClickUp integration

Connect ClickUp once, then turn any incident into a ClickUp task — by hand in a click or automatically with Playbooks. No webhook, no code.

  1. Step 1: Connect ClickUp

In Spike, open Integrations, search for ClickUp and click Setup, then authorise task creation. Once connected, every team member can create ClickUp tasks from Spike.

  2. Step 2: Create a task from an incident

Open any incident, use the actions section to Create ticket and choose ClickUp, then set the title, description, list, status, priority, assignees and tags before creating the task.

  3. Step 3: Automate with Playbooks

Add a create-ticket step to a Playbook so matching incidents open a ClickUp task automatically, with no clicks required.

That's it — ClickUp alerts now page whoever is on call.
