Incident alerts and on-call in Microsoft Teams
Spike posts incidents into your Teams channels and DMs you when you’re on call — so your team acknowledges, resolves and escalates without leaving Teams.

Act on incidents from Teams
Run incident management from your Teams channel: every incident posts as an adaptive card, you take the next step right there, and the card keeps itself up to date as things change.
- Acknowledge and resolve from the card
- Escalate when it needs more hands
- Open the incident and its timeline
- Cards update with repeat and suppressed counts
On-call DMs
A direct message when your shift starts
Spike sends you a direct message in Teams the moment your on-call shift begins, and whenever you’re mentioned on an incident — no dashboard, no missed handoff.

Setup
Connect Teams in 3 steps
Install the Spike app in Teams and start getting incidents and on-call DMs.
Step 1: Install the Spike app
In Microsoft Teams, open Apps, search for “Spike”, and install it for yourself and your team.
Step 2: Run connect and connect-org
Run the connect command to link your personal account (on-call DMs and mentions) and connect-org to link your organisation (channel alerts).
Step 3: Point your escalation at Teams
Edit the escalation policy that handles your alerts, add Teams as a step, and pick the channels incidents should post to.
That’s it — incidents post to Teams and Spike DMs you on call.
