Connected to Spike.sh through a webhook connection, each monitor alert becomes an incident: the on-call engineer gets a phone call and SMS within seconds, the alert escalates to the next responder if it goes unacknowledged, and repeated fires from the same monitor are grouped so a noisy query doesn’t bury the pager. Your log analytics stop being a dashboard someone has to watch and start driving real on-call response.
How to set up Sumo Logic alerts
Every Spike.sh integration is a unique webhook URL. Paste it into Sumo Logic and alerts start flowing — no agents, no code.
Step 1: Create a Sumo Logic integration in Spike.sh
In your Spike.sh dashboard, open Integrations and choose Sumo Logic. Spike.sh generates a unique webhook URL for this integration — copy it.
Step 2: Add a webhook connection in Sumo Logic
In Sumo Logic, open the Connections settings and add a new Webhook connection. Paste the Spike.sh URL as the endpoint, and add the provided JSON payload template so fields like Name, Description, and MonitorType map through.
Step 3: Notify the connection from a monitor and test
Attach the webhook connection to the Sumo Logic monitor you want to alert from. Trigger it — the alert reaches Spike.sh as an incident within seconds and pages whoever is on call.
