Create Zendesk tickets from your incidents
Zendesk raises the alarm — Spike.sh makes sure a human hears it. Every Zendesk alert becomes an incident with on-call schedules, escalations, and alerts on phone, SMS, Slack, email, WhatsApp, and Teams.
What you can do
Everything the Zendesk integration does
Create tickets from any incident
Pick incidents and raise a Zendesk ticket routed to the right group — the incident summary and timeline land as ticket fields.
Automate it with Playbooks
Add a Zendesk step to a Playbook and matching incidents raise a ticket automatically, assigned to the group you choose.
Full two-way sync with the app
Connect by API token for one-way ticket creation, or install the Zendesk Marketplace app for full bidirectional sync — incidents, notes and statuses flow between both platforms.
Link multiple incidents
Consolidate several related incidents into one Zendesk ticket so agents and notes stay on a single thread.
Why raise Zendesk tickets from incidents?
Customer-facing incidents live in Zendesk, and with the Marketplace app every update stays mirrored between the two. Raise a Zendesk ticket from any incident — by hand from the incidents table or automatically through a Playbook — and the incident’s details and timestamps come along so the ticket lands with context.
The depth of the connection is your call. An API token gives you one-way ticket creation. Install the Zendesk Marketplace app and it becomes fully bidirectional: incidents, notes and statuses flow between both platforms, so an update in either place shows up in the other. Multiple related incidents can also be linked to a single ticket, keeping one conversation per customer issue.
Set up the Zendesk integration
Connect with a Zendesk API token for one-way ticket creation, or install the Marketplace app for full two-way sync between Spike and Zendesk.
Step 1: Open Helpdesk Integrations
In Spike, go to Settings → General → Helpdesk Integrations.
Step 2: Connect Zendesk
Enter your Zendesk API token and subdomain for one-way ticket creation. For two-way, install the Spike app from the Zendesk Marketplace and generate an API token from your Spike dashboard.
Step 3: Create a ticket
From the incidents table, select incidents and create a Zendesk ticket — or add a Zendesk step to a Playbook to raise them automatically.
That's it — Zendesk alerts now page whoever is on call.
